Our Nine Lessons and Carols service will be on Christmas Eve as usual. So invite your neighbours to join us at Franklin's former St John’s Church Hall, which is now Frank's cafe at 3328 Huon Highway, Franklin for our service starting at 7pm.
For those of you who are not familiar with it, Nine Lessons and Carols is a service celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally held on New Year's Eve. It is a tradition that started almost 100 years ago at Kings College Cambridge and has spread all over the world. The story of the fall, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with singing Christmas Carols together.
